Hey, I'm Ben!
In 2020, I began a journey of personal and creative reinvention rooted in love and connection. This path led me to embrace my heritage as an artist, a legacy inspired by my father. My artistic focus quickly narrowed to vibrant portrait art, celebrating the unforgettable people and moments that defined the Generation X experience.
Working with layered wood, I create bold, three-dimensional portraits that feel both tactile and energetic. The process is a meditative tribute, capturing the distinctive spirit of my generation, from beloved movies and music to defining moments in pop culture. Through these portraits, I aim to evoke a sense of shared nostalgia and belonging, offering viewers a joyful and vivid celebration of our collective past.

We will look together at the materials, basic techniques, and knowledge needed to begin this journey. Approaching a new technique means first learning how best to use the tools at your disposal. Together, we will use the Scroll Saw and Palm Sander. Everything is explained.
Practical Exercises
Theory is important, but what makes you a true artist is practice... Lots of practice! You'll find lots of exercises to get started with and from which to get inspiration. I will show you some tricks that will make your wood art truly unique. By the end, you will be able to create anything you desire!
